This post is not sponsored by any of them, so quite honestly sounds like a skill issue to me.
The last time we did this, it was about the skincare brands that I absolutely hate— the ones that did nothing for my skin except test my patience.
This time, we’re switching energies.
Today, we’re talking about the skincare brands I love, trust with my life, and genuinely believe should be running the universe. If there were a religion dedicated to any of these brands, I’d convert without hesitation.
Starting strong with something we all grew up with…

Vaseline
I think every household in the world has owned something from Vaseline—usually the iconic petroleum jelly. And while petroleum jelly never felt glamorous enough for our generation, Vaseline has seriously stepped up in recent years.
Lip balms. Body lotions. Body oils. And then—the holy grail—the Vaseline Gluta-Hya Serum in Lotion.
Let me be very clear: it deserves every atom of hype it gets.
I bought it purely because of the word “gluta” (I am not sane, you were warned on the About page—don’t roll your eyes). But wow.
The smell. The hydration. The glow. The way it makes your skin look like it has its life together.
No brand—and I mean no brand—has managed to replicate what this does, especially at this price point. It’s not even among the most expensive skincare brands in the market, and yet it performs like it is.
If your skin has any problem—any problem at all—my honest suggestion would be to throw everything else away and go back to Vaseline. Returning to your roots rarely disappoints.

JOY
Let’s be honest—most people started using Joy because it was affordable. And yes, Joy is the undisputed queen of budget skincare.
But affordability aside, this brand has range. Sunscreens, moisturisers, night creams, serums (of every kind), toners—if it exists under the skincare umbrella, Joy probably makes it. And they make it cheap.
I genuinely believe that now that Kriti Sanon is out of my way, I deserve to be their brand ambassador—because I have used ALL of their products. Every single one.
Joy, if you’re reading this, take me up on a challenge. I know your brand better than you probably do—and that’s not an exaggeration.
The only product I didn’t love initially was their lotion with sunscreen oil (which, honestly, what even is that?). But over time, I realised it actually works really well for the body. It leaves your arms and legs shiny, like you’ve used an expensive body oil.
So yes—good on them.
If you’re a beginner just stepping into skincare, Joy is a safe, reliable place to start your skincare journey.

GlamVeda
I feel like this brand launched… yesterday?
(I’m kidding. I’ve been using it for almost a year now.)
I first bought their products purely because of the pricing—a 7-step skincare kit under ₹1000? Obviously, I was sold.
The kit I tried focused on rice ceramides, and I swear to you—it had me giggling on my way to work. I’d catch my reflection in the bus window and have a full-on tee-hee moment because my skin looked that good.
I can’t comment on how Korean the brand actually is (it’s Indian-owned, and I haven’t used enough Korean skincare to judge), but what I can say is this:
Glamveda knows what it’s doing.
If you’re looking for affordable skincare that genuinely delivers results, this brand is a solid stop.

DermaTouch
Let me be a little emotional for a second.
I’ve only used two products from this brand:
- Their Kojic Acid Serum
- Their Rosemary Hair Growth Spray
And my honest review? Go for it.
I have God’s best-created skin—but my hair? Cursed by Maleficent herself. Not even divine intervention can save it. That said, their rosemary spray did slow down my hair fall, which is impressive for someone who is about thirteen seconds away from balding.
As for the Kojic Acid serum—I started using it when pigmentation was just beginning, and I genuinely believe it worked. I took a few months’ break (because consistency is my enemy), but now that I’m back, I can see the difference again.
If it doesn’t work for you, it’s probably not the product.
It’s you.
(I say this lovingly.)

DermaCo
I’ve also tried The Derma Co’s Kojic Acid serum, and maybe it is just the kojic acid—but this brand clearly knows what it’s doing.
I recently picked up their Salicylic Acid serum as well. I haven’t used it long enough to form a strong opinion (plus, salicylic acid isn’t an everyday product), but overall, this is one of the most trustworthy skincare brands available in the Indian market right now.

That said, I’ve officially crossed my word limit for the day.
I’ll be back someday soon with Part 2 of this list—because yes, there are more brands I love.
