What was the best compliment you’ve received?
Best Compliment I’ve Ever Received
Someone once called me weird.
Not cute-weird. Not quirky-weird.
Just… weird.
And they meant it like an insult, which is honestly what makes it perfect.
Because in my head, weird just means one thing—
You realised you have free will…
and then actually did something about it.
Like imagine being given choices and then still choosing the default setting your whole life?? Couldn’t be me.
Weird is pausing mid-reaction and going,
“Wait, do I even care about this or am I just performing?”
Weird is not laughing when everyone laughs.
Not getting offended on cue.
Not liking things just because you’re supposed to.
Weird is thinking,
overthinking,
then thinking about why you’re overthinking.
And yeah, that does make people uncomfortable.
Because it’s easier to call someone weird than to ask,
“Wait… why are they not like the rest of us?”
The funniest part is—they probably thought they did something.
Meanwhile I was just there like…
oh no 😔 anyway—
Because if weird means I don’t blindly follow every script handed to me,
I’ll take it.
Actually no—
I’ll keep it.
