Meet Alba Tirtja: Miss World Albania 2026

The preparations for Miss World 2026 are in full swing, as contestants from around the globe gear up for their departure to Vietnam, this year’s host country. With the departure day fast approaching, the delegates are putting the finishing touches on their preparations for the world’s most prestigious beauty pageant.

With a whopping 111 confirmed contestants from across the globe, Miss World 2026 is set to bring together an extraordinary mix of cultures, stories, and ambitions (yet again!).

That said, now, is the perfect time to meet the gorgeous women who will be taking the stage in Vietnam and representing their countries at this year’s competition. 🌎👑

We start alphabetically with Miss World – Albania!

Meet Alba Tirtja a 25-year-old medical student from Tirana. Alba’s currently a fourth-year medical student in Austria, where she also works as a teaching assistant.

She’s fluent in four languages — English, German, Italian, and French.

Alba is proof that a crown and a stethoscope aren’t mutually exclusive. Between lectures, textbooks, and clinical responsibilities, she’s built a life around discipline — and now she’s adding “national titleholder” to that list.

On winning her national title, she said:

“Being crowned Miss World Albania is an extraordinary moment in my life.”

She reflected on balancing lecture halls, medical textbooks, daily responsibilities, and a dream she couldn’t ignore — and how she’s learned that a woman can carry many roles at once, not because it’s easy, but because passion and dedication give the heart the strength to keep going. She closed by promising to wear the crown with all her heart.

Now, all eyes turn to Vietnam, where Alba will compete on the world stage alongside fellow contestants from across the globe.

I think that’s what makes Alba’s story worth writing about beyond the crown and the sash. She’s a reminder that ambition doesn’t have to be singular. You don’t have to pick between the stethoscope and the spotlight, between discipline and dreaming. Sometimes the most interesting people are the ones who refuse to choose.

Here’s to watching Alba represent Albania in Vietnam this year — and to every woman out there quietly juggling more than anyone gives her credit for.
