Meet Alina Akselrad – Miss World Argentina 2026

Continuing our alphabetical journey through this year’s Miss World delegates, we land on Miss Argentina — and Alina Akselrad.

Alina, 27, is from Córdoba, and pageantry isn’t new territory for her. She entered her first local pageant at just 16, and the road since has taken her through Miss Sudamérica 2017, Miss Universe Argentina 2020 (where she went on to place in the Top 21 at Miss Universe), and now, Miss World Argentina 2025 — the title that’s sending her to Vietnam for the 75th Anniversary Miss World Festival.

But Alina is more than a pageant résumé. She’s an actress, a communicator, and the author of “Abraza tu Poder” (Embrace Your Power) — a book rooted in the same message she’s spent years building her platform around: personal strength through adversity.

On winning her national title, Alina spoke about sharing the moment with her grandmother, who has been living with illness:

“I am happy because I was able to share this joy with my grandmother, my yaya! She was always in the front row… and it broke my heart to think that maybe she no longer remembered this great passion we share because of her illness. But seeing the crown was enough for us to melt into a hug full of laughter and proud glances.”

That’s the kind of detail that stays with you. Because underneath the crown and the titles, Alina’s story keeps circling back to the people she’s doing it for.

Since being crowned, she’s stayed true to her advocacy roots. Earlier this year, she traveled to Israel to study geopolitics up close, volunteering with a foundation distributing meals to communities near the Gaza border and planting a tree as a symbol of peace. It’s all part of her ongoing project, “Sanando el Mundo” (Healing the World) — a social initiative she built long before Miss World ever entered the picture.
Now, Alina heads to Vietnam carrying more than a sash. She’s carrying a grandmother’s pride, a book’s worth of conviction, and a project built on the belief that strength is something you choose, again and again.
