Next up in our alphabetical run through this year’s Miss World delegates — Miss World Australia, Olivija Spanovskis.
Olivija, 25, hails from South Australia and works as a marketing executive in the experiential tourism industry, spending her days helping showcase some of Australia’s most remote and spectacular destinations. She was crowned Miss World Australia 2026 in Melbourne this past November, succeeding outgoing titleholder Jasmine Stringer.
Modeling has been part of Olivija’s life since she was just 14, and she credits the challenges along the way with shaping her into who she is today — someone she describes as compassionate, loyal, kind, and hardworking. Her Latvian heritage and lifelong love of travel run through everything she does, alongside a genuine commitment to mental well-being, resilience, and community connection.
In her introduction video for Miss World, Olivija opens up about growing up surrounded by nature, and how that upbringing shaped her values and the way she sees the world. Outdoor life — trail running, coastal walks, sport — has always been her outlet, and that same love of the outdoors eventually pointed her toward her career, blending her passion for storytelling with a marketing degree that led her into the experiential tourism industry.
Her day job now has her working across some of Australia’s most striking corners — from eco-luxury glamping just off the Ningaloo Reef in the far northwest, to a solar- and wind-powered sailing experience on the Great Barrier Reef in far north Queensland. It’s work she doesn’t separate from her advocacy. Through her Beauty With a Purpose platform, Arcane Uni, Olivija has partnered with the Great Southern Reef Foundation and taken part in conservation volunteering, all built around a belief she credits to Sir David Attenborough — that people protect what they experience, and experience is what turns caring into action.
She also speaks about Australia’s First Nations heritage — a culture she describes as the oldest continuous living culture in the world, one that has shaped the land’s stories and meaning for more than 65,000 years.
Now, Olivija heads to Vietnam for the 75th Anniversary Miss World Festival, where she’s looking forward to meeting delegates from across the globe and learning from their stories just as she’s spent her career sharing her own country’s.
